Walking Tacos
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey
1/2 medium sweet onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup water
6 individual sized bags of Way Better Snacks Sprouted Tortilla Chips
Your family’s favorite taco toppings such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, minced cilantro, shredded cheese, salsa sour cream, black olives, beans, and/or thinly slice green onions.
In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and green pepper over medium heat. When your beef has browned and cooked through, drain off the excess oil.
Add chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper flakes, oregano, and water to meat mixture. Stir and simmer over medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes until evenly seasoned and most of the water has evaporate from the pan. Remove pan from heat.
While taco meat is cooking, cut up any toppings you will be serving. Set them aside in individual bowls. To assemble walking tacos, open a bag of Way Better Snack Tortilla Chips. Lightly crush chips in the bag.
Spoon warm taco meat over the crushed chips. Add your favorite taco toppings, grab a fork, and dig in!
