Way Better Snacks Taps Kohnstamm Communications To Be Its PR Agency Of Record
Snack chip innovator looks to embolden sprouting growth through strategic PR program
SAINT PAUL, Minn. (January 24, 2013) – Way Better Snacks, a pioneer in the natural food industry, has tapped Kohnstamm Communications to create a transformational public relations program for its innovative line of sprouted tortilla chips.
By including sprouted ingredients like flaxseed, chia seeds, quinoa, black beans, broccoli seed and daikon radish seeds, Way Better Snacks built and launched a way better tortilla chip snack in September 2011. The product line has quickly received an enthusiastic reception in the food industry because of its great taste and innovative, “better-for-you” ingredients.
“As the first line of sprouted tortilla chips to market, Way Better Snacks had a phenomenal first year,” said Jim Breen, CEO and founder of Live Better Brands. “As we enter 2013, we know that now is the time to elevate our brand even further through a smart and strategic PR program. We are excited to partner with Kohnstamm to continue to build brand awareness around our innovative product lines, and help us accelerate the phenomenal growth that Way Better Snacks realized in year one.”
Leveraging the health benefits of using germinated and sprouted grains, beans and seeds, Kohnstamm will partner with Way Better Snacks to build ongoing brand awareness through both traditional and social media channels.
“Our agency couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with this exciting new company and product line,” said Greg Zimprich, SVP and director of operations at Kohnstamm Communications. “With our category experience, naturally we believe we’re a great fit to execute a robust marketing communications plan that will help Way Better Snacks take sales and brand awareness to the next level.”
